Ryno, an All-Electric Single-Wheeled Scooter

Share

Ryno Motors Company introduced a one-wheel electric scooter, Ryno. The unusual machine, which was presented last year, will soon appear on the market. It weighs 57kg and can go a maximum speed of about 25 miles per hour. To turn while driving, you have to lean to the right or left. Limited in the city to 12.5 miles per hour just like any other scooter, the Ryno packs more features and more fun into its small size than any other product on the market. After about an hour’s worth of training, you’ll be ready to go

The primary application right now is security guards and the like, hired guns who spend long hours patrolling areas again and again. In many cases cars are too big and, while a Segway works, standing on one of those for a full shift isn't exactly easy on the 'ol feet, especially if you're working injured. On the Ryno you are at least sitting down, and its tiny size means you can easily maneuver through the middle of crowds

This will it capture the hearts and wallets of thrill-seekers? We'll wait for a longer test ride of a production model before we make any pronouncements there, but it already has five people lined up to pay a whopping $25,000 for hand-built machines.
